Aerospace & Defense Testing Systems

In the aerospace and defense industries, there is zero margin for error. From massive fuel tanks to critical cabin pressure systems, every component must pass the most demanding tests. Adlema’s high-sensitivity leak testing systems, specially developed for the aerospace industry, are trusted across the production and maintenance lines of industry leaders. On the flight line, in the field and in the hangar, experience verification performance that goes far beyond standards.

BT9000-AERO - Fuel Tank and Line Testing System

Specially developed for leak testing large-volume components, such as fuel tanks and fuel transfer lines, which represent some of the most demanding requirements in the aerospace industry. While its advanced differential pressure technology detects minute pressure drops, its integrated intelligent helium infrastructure enables you to identify microscopic leaks in applications where standard tests are insufficient, without rejecting the part.

Smart Gas Management & Helium Mixing

The system is supplied from the helium tank located behind the chassis and automatically prepares an Air-Helium mixture at the required ratios. This unique automation feature dramatically reduces pure helium consumption costs while maintaining high leak detection sensitivity.

Large-Volume Optimization

For testing massive aircraft components, the system is equipped with an automatic Fast Fill valve assembly that minimizes waiting times. In addition, the secondary Return Line keeps the internal pressure of the product continuously under control, ensuring maximum safety during filling.

Automatic Measurement & Pinpoint Detection

The system automatically measures pressure decay with a sensitivity of down to 1 Pa. If a leak is detected, it does not vent the part and automatically switches to leak search mode. Using the integrated Helium Sniffer, the operator can move around the aircraft and locate the exact point of leakage within seconds.

Technical Infrastructure and System Features

Measurement Resolution & Scale: Ultra-high resolution ranging from 0.01 Pa to 1 Pa in differential pressure measurement, applicable within the 0–50 Pa differential pressure range. Standard test pressure scale of 1–5 PSI.

Automation & PLC Integration: 24V programmable PLC hardware with 7 Inputs / 7 Outputs, capable of controlling external automation systems. Integrated barcode printer infrastructure that instantly converts test results into labels.

Test Modes: Automatic Pressure Decay Leak Test and Pinpoint Detection Mode with Helium Sniffer.

Industry 4.0 Communication: RS232/RS485 Modbus RTU as standard; optional Profinet, EtherCAT and Ethernet TCP/IP network connectivity.

Interface and User Management: User-friendly 7-inch color touchscreen, memory for more than 500 different test programs, and operator authorization via mechanical key.

Flexible Units and Verification: Reading flexibility in international flow and pressure units such as Pa, Pa/s, sccm and cm³/s. Master connection port on the front panel.

BT9000-B/V/DB Series - Multi-Purpose Portable Field Unit

A portable test station designed to solve all leak testing requirements of the aerospace industry directly on the flight line, within a single case. Perform high-flow/low-pressure tests on high-volume systems such as aircraft wings and fuel tanks, or carry out high-pressure and vacuum tests on fuel transfer, primary ventilation or engine supply systems. Manage all these demanding field tasks seamlessly with a single IP67-protected system.

Mechanical Independence & Dual Verification

Even in the event of a power outage under field conditions, the differential pressure gauges and manual valves located on the device allow you to complete all stages of the leak testing process mechanically. In addition to electronic measurement, the mechanical dials provide instant verification.

One Device for 3 Different Pressure Groups

There is no need for three separate devices for the aircraft’s different systems. The BT9000 Series features dedicated input ports for Vacuum tests (-10 PSI–0), Low Pressure/High Flow tests (1 PSI–14.5 PSI) and High Pressure tests (14.5 PSI–145 PSI).

Environmental Control Under Field Conditions

To prevent severe temperature fluctuations outside the hangar from affecting test results, the system is equipped with ambient temperature and humidity monitoring sensors. In addition, for large-volume components such as fuel tanks, return line control instantly displays the internal product pressure, maximizing test safety.

Technical Infrastructure and System Features

Scale: Differential pressure (Δp) measurement range of 5,000 Pa (0.72 PSI) for leak testing. Extensive operating range from -10 PSI to 145 PSI.

Mechanical Infrastructure and Connections: Manual valve operation requiring no electricity. Three separate input ports for externally connected air or external vacuum/high-pressure units.

Test Modes: Vacuum, High Pressure and Low Pressure/High Flow leak tests. Variometer control for adjusting filling/venting speed in large-volume applications.

Enclosure and Mobility: IP67-certified waterproof and dustproof case consisting of a polypropylene body, stainless-steel pins and ABS locks. Full mobility with trolley functionality and ergonomic carrying handles.

Interface and Operation: User-friendly 7-inch color HMI touchscreen. Test data can be transferred to a computer via USB drive and reviewed in Excel when required.

Flexible Units and Verification: Testing flexibility in international units such as Pa, Pa/sec, PSI, PSI/sec, PSI/min, sccm and cm³/s. Calibration port on the front panel.

DAE6000 - Cabin Pressure Leak Test System

A test station designed to verify leaks in aircraft cockpits and cabins and to ensure compliance with international leak-tightness and pressure resistance standards. The DAE6000 combines complex cabin testing with Adlema’s intelligent automation infrastructure, accelerating your flight line operations.

BLDAE7000 - Bleed Air Test System

Developed to test the leak tightness of critical air systems carrying high-pressure air extracted from aircraft engines, known as Bleed Air. Providing highly reliable verification in critical aerospace infrastructure, this device is an ideal standard testing solution for aircraft maintenance centers (MROs) worldwide.

Perfect Your System: Aerospace-Specific Connection and Sealing Solutions

In the aerospace industry, the accuracy of a leak test depends not only on the sensitivity of the test device, but also on the quality of the mechanical connection made to the aircraft’s complex geometry. Standard or incompatible fixtures may create leaks under high pressure and vacuum, leading to false failure results during testing and unnecessary aircraft downtime in the hangar.

Explore the Quick Sealing adapters developed to transfer the measurement capability of the test device to the field without loss and to provide reliable integration with complex aircraft valves within seconds.
